• Some of the current calendars

Since ancient times, humanity has sought different ways of measuring time, whether by lunar cycles, solar cycles or the seasons of the year. Currently the most commonly used calendar is the Gregorian calendar or common calendar (Valenzuela, n.d.; Jorge, 2017), created by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582, which takes as year 0 the birth of Christ and consists of 365 days divided into 12 months, some of 30 and others of 31 days, except for February which has 28 days and every 4 years increase to 29. The Hebrew calendar (Unidos por Israel, 2014) is also used at present and it is the current calendar in Israel, this part with the creation of the world according to the genesis and this would be the day 1 of the first month of year 1, equivalent to October 7 of the year 3760 before the common era. Another of the most widespread calendars is the Chinese calendar (Pino, n.d.), which consists of 12 months in a normal year, 13 months in a leap year and is characterized by using animal names in the months. There are other religious calendars such as the Islamic calendar (Truth Seeker, 2017) in which it appears, for example, important dates for Muslims like the Ramadan (Pellini, 2014) and the Hindu (Qué diferencia hay, n.d.) calendar, used mainly in India (DePeru.com, n.d.). There are also other calendars not so widespread that are used by native peoples in certain regions, an example is the Mapuche calendar (Cultura10.org, 2018), a lunar calendar used in South America by the Mapuche people.
