Cave painting

Cave painting
  • About new theories

The cave painting (Martínez Celis & Botiva Contreras, 2007) is a series of paintings found in caverns, which is still under discussion if they were made by the first homo sapiens, the homo neanderthalensis (Corbella, 2018) or another hominid species. There are different congures of what is its meaning, there are for example hypotheses that say that these paintings seek to describe stories of everyday life (Cantos, 2015), others that try to describe flora and fauna of these places and finally that actually try to be one of the first representations of visible constellations (Trujillo, 2018) by these hominid groups.
