TuxGuitar (Canales Mora, 2008; Guitarmonia, 2012; TuxGuitar, 2009) is a free and multi-platform editor of scores/tablatures and MIDI files, although it includes its own format (.tg), it is also compatible with guitar pro files (.gp2, .gp3, .gp4 and .gp5) and PowerTab (. ptb), in addition to the aforementioned includes a multitrack editor, autoscroll while playing, you can insert effects (bend, slide, vibrato, hammer-on/pull-off) and is available for Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, FreeBSD and a version written in Java called TuxGuitar Live that can be used through the browser.
