Ultrasound to visualize complete flow during valvular processes

Ultrasound to visualize complete flow during valvular processes
  • With this technology, doctors can get a more accurate view of the anatomy of the heart

The Acuson SC2000 Prime Edition ultrasound system offers live, full-volume color Doppler images of the heart's valve anatomy and blood flow using a new true-volume transesophageal echo probe (TEE). With this technology, doctors can obtain a more authentic view of the anatomy of the heart and the dynamics of blood flow in one view, during surgical procedures performed on the valves, even in patients with ECG abnormalities (Photo courtesy of Siemens Healthcare)

A new system for cardiovascular imaging (El Hospital, 2014; MedImaging, 2014) provides full volume images by color Doppler ultrasound of the anatomy of the heart valves and blood flow. With this technology, doctors can get a more accurate view of the anatomy of the heart and the dynamics of blood flow in a single view. Also included is a new software for automated valve analysis that provides accurate measurements of the valves in a matter of seconds to better support heart interventions.
