Glow of sound at Mach 3 speed
- The Mach 3 glow at 3 times the speed of sound

The Mach 3 glow, that is, 3 times the speed of sound, can be seen in the 1971 photograph during the heating system test on the prototype of the YF-12 aircraft, this was recently published by NASA at the Laboratory of Flight charges from the Armstrong Flight Research Center (Gelzer, 2014; NASA, 2014).
