Rosegarden is a free professional audio and MIDI sequencer (Liontos, 2011; Voluntari@, 2013), is also a score editor and serves as a general environment for music editing and compositing. It is free software under the GPL license, developed for GNU / Linux. It can be downloaded from its official website (Rosegarden, 2014) or through package managers such as synaptic, although the stable version is for GNU/Linux, there is also an alpha phase version for Windows and a port for FreeBSD.
