The holophony (Artime Menéndez, 2007) is a type of surround surround mix (Gari, 2012) made exclusively for stereophonic headphones through different processes, these processes are differences in times and intensity, frequency changes independently and different modulation effects on both hearing aids to achieve a spatial simulation. The surround headphones, most popular among gamers, are based on this principle to be able to work via software and thus create a surround mix. The result is similar to, for example, a 5.1 mix, but without the need for such a system. There are some holophonic mixes that do not need software that simulates a surround system to be appreciated, since they are made for a stereo headphone system from the beginning, here are some examples.
